Vegetable Gardening Tips

I find vegetable gardening to be one of, if not my favourite area of gardening as you get to taste your success, and there’s nothing better than the taste of success (though some people may hold me to that ). To grow your own vegetables doesn’t need to take you hours upon end nor is it difficult as you will soon learn. You need to ensure that the area you will be growing your vegetables, and fruit for that matter, will receive at least 6 hours of sunlight daily. You must also make sure that the soil is suitable for the vegetables to grow, and that your vegetables will have a good source of water. During dry periods your vegetable plants need to be watered more often. Most vegetable plants prefer around 2 cm or more water each week, particularly during their fruiting period.

Once I discovered the secrets of vegetable gardening, I found my vegetables tasted better than the ones I used to buy at the supermarket or grocers, and even better when I had friends round as I could boast that they were eating the potatoes or runner beans I had grown.
